Seattle Climate Tech: August 14 - August 21
Forests, Seattle manufacturing, sustainable Taiwanese innovation, and more this week!
Hi friends,
We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy as we enter the time of year that sadly has become synonymous with wildfire season in the PNW. Over the last few days, the deadliest wildfire in modern US history has devastated the communities and wildlife of Maui just across the Pacific — if you’re looking for ways to help, here is a list of local community organizations you can support.
Times like these can feel dark, but we are uplifted by the people and organizations that continue to work on climate challenges for a better future for our communities and the environment. Connect with others interested in and working on climate at the 🍻 MCJ Seattle Community Happy Hour today in Fremont, learn about 🌲 Climate Change: The Impact on Washington Farms & Forests on Tuesday in the U-District, learn about Seattle Made membership for local makers and manufacturers at 🔨 Crossroads of Seattle Made on Thursday in Seattle, and on Friday in Seattle join 🇹🇼 Taiwan Excellence Earth Month Pop Up Store Experience for an immersive experience on sustainable innovation from Taiwan.
As always, scroll down for the full list of upcoming events.
Cheers,
Maya and Alec
