🏢 Bullitt Center Tours
When: Tues, Dec 5th from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM
Where: Bullitt Center, 1501 East Madison St Seattle, WA
The Bullitt Center, described by Architectural Digest as "the greenest office building in the world," offers public tours 2 days a week, most weeks. Tours will begin in the second floor lobby, and include the building's mechanical and electrical rooms, the grey water and rain water treatment systems, vacuum toilets and the "irresistible" stairway.

Where: Bale Breaker & Yonder Cider Taproom
Please join the Seattle Women and Climate chapter for a Happy Hour, food drive combo. This event is RSVP only, so please register to grab your spot (but if you happened to show up with donations in hand and no RSVP, we certainly won’t kick you out 😉). Donations will be going to the Ballard Food Bank.

Join the NW Energy Coalition on December 6 in Portland for the Clean & Affordable Energy Conference! Network with peers in the clean energy community, hear from expert panelists and keynote speakers, and stick around for the Clean Energy Awards reception. Panelists will discuss how utility planning should change to deliver equitable and affordable outcomes, the role of energy efficiency and distributed energy resources for vulnerable populations, and how the Bonneville Power Administration needs to modernize to drive forward the clean energy transition.

Where: Zoom (Virtual)
The University of Washington is about to publish its first comprehensive greenhouse gas inventory. Join UW Sustainability for a discussion about the data on UW's emissions, key takeaways from the inventory and what the findings mean for our future decarbonization efforts. Presenters include: Lisa Dulude, UW Director of Sustainability, and Marilyn Ostergren, UW Sustainability Energy & Sustainability Specialist.
🍅 The Biodiversity of Food Systems
When: Fri, Dec 8th from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM
Where: Kane 120, University of Washington
This seminar will explore the biological diversity that enables sustainable food systems and healthy communities. This biodiversity, including plants, animals, fungi, and microorganisms across ecosystems, is critical to clean water, fertile soils, pollination, stable climate, and nutritional and cultural diversity. All UW students, faculty, staff are welcome to attend the seminar.
🌎 Not Mars - Tools for Saving Our Home Planet
When: Fri, Dec 8th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Tools to Save Our Home Planet is a one-night, multi-speaker event, bringing together Patagonia’s activists to share lessons learned, practical tips, and personal stories to turn your climate anxiety into climate action. Hosted by journalist Yessenia Funes, this special event will inspire seasoned and newly curious activists with inspiring conversations from a diverse group of speakers, including community organizer Nikkita Oliver, author Bonnie Tsui, fossil fuel activist Jamie Henn, surfer and ocean advocate Greg Long, among others. You’ll also have the opportunity to connect directly with local grassroots groups that can provide a clear pathway to help protect local waters and build healthier communities.

Join us in supporting incredible makers and farmers in our community at our annual open-air Holiday Market. Shop for beautiful, handmade gifts and locally grown produce on the Farm Market patio from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. The 21 Acres Farm Market is loaded with local food and much more. We’re open year-round Wednesday through Friday, 11 to 6; and Saturdays, 10 to 4.

You will get a behind-the-scenes look at the tools and technologies utilized by our LEED Platinum-certified building, and an understanding of the real connections between clean energy, water, and food, and how they influence our environment, health, and economy.
🧵Sew a Reusable Fabric Gift Bag
When: Sun, Dec 10th from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Where: North End Makerspace, 12317 15th Ave NE #108 Seattle, WA
Turn your leftover fabric scraps into reusable gift bags! Any size will do. We will work on two different bag designs. Both bags require basic sewing skills and the ability to use a sewing machine. Mixing and matching fabric with your neighbor is encouraged, and we will have additional fabric on hand to share.

We are expanding! We started as an 8-person dinner and now have over 4,000 members in our community. We’ve had people across the world reach out to us to start their own chapters - so we’re launching a new Climate Tech Cities organization this year!
