What is holding climate biotech back? How can you improve your scientific impact? Can industry and academia join forces to accelerate progress?
Accelerating Climate Biotech: Bridging Industry and Academia is a UW-hosted Seattle panel and mixer focused on strengthening industry–academia partnerships to accelerate climate biotech. This event brings together founders, researchers, and climate biotech practitioners to surface what’s holding progress back, and to identify where industry and academia can join forces to move climate biotech faster.
The program features short introductions, a rapid-fire panel on key bottlenecks and collaboration lessons, followed by facilitated discussion tables where attendees can rotate between panelists to ask specific questions. We’ll close with a relaxed networking apéro for continued conversation.

Combining investigative journalism, striking visuals, and stories from impacted communities, the film challenges audiences to rethink the hidden costs of a global military empire and its planetary consequences. Provocative, urgent, and eye-opening, this is a documentary that will change how you see both the military and environmentalism.
