We had a blast last week at the monthly Seattle meet-up at Made Cascade in Ballard, head to the South Sound this Tuesday for the ☕ July 2023 Tacoma Work on Climate Meet Up for more! On Thursday, visit the U District for the 📕 UBS Pre-Release Event: Kate Wheeler and Trent Huntington's book Team Trash for some family fun and sustainable storytelling. On Saturday, get your hands dirty and 🌱 Volunteer at 21 Acres: Farm Stewardship in Woodinville or sip some coffee and exchange some clothes at 👕 No New Clothes Sip + Swap in Seattle. To top off the weekend, join a guided hike in Issaquah on Sunday and learn about 💧 Critical Habitats for Climate Change: Why Riparian and Wetland Areas are so Important for Plant and Wildlife Diversity

Work alongside knowledgeable 21 Acres staff on a variety of seasonal restoration and farm projects that build soil health and climate resilience. Your help supports local food systems by increasing farm productivity; building habitat for animals, birds, and insects; decreasing stormwater runoff; and storing carbon. Activities include seeding, transplanting, weeding, mulching, bed building, and more!

You are invited to join the Remake Seattle Community in collaboration with Anchorhead Coffee & Bakery for a clothing swap that aims to transform the way you engage with the clothes in your closet for this summer...and beyond! From June 1st to September 1st, Remake - a global advocacy organization working at the intersection of labor rights and climate justice - challenges people all over the world to press pause on the purchase of new clothing and, instead, reflect on their relationship with fashion.
💧 Critical Habitats for Climate Change: Why Riparian and Wetland Areas are so Important for Plant and Wildlife Diversity
When: Sun, Jul 30th from 10:00 AM to 12:30 AM
Where: Pickering Barn, 1730 10th Avenue Northwest, Issaquah
Join the IATC and the City of Issaquah on a guided hike along Pickering Reach to explore how riparian areas and wetlands are critical habitats for plant and wildlife diversity in the face of a rapidly changing climate. This hike will focus on the City of Issaquah’s efforts to conserve and restore riparian habitat to support threatened salmon populations and a wide array of plant species and other wildlife that rely on these vital habitats along our rivers and lakeshores.
