Meet the new ClimateLaunchpad national startups contest
When: Tuesday, March 11
Where: 9Zero Climate Innovation Hub, 1215 4th Ave 15th Floor, Seattle, WA 98101
โThe 2025 ClimateLaunchpad opens for applications from idea-stage founders in March 2025. It is free to apply and participate. From April to July, participants take online courses and an intensive weekend bootcamp. In August a national pitch contest selects three founders to compete in the Americas regional contest (last year including 7 countries). Participants have access to the Climate-KIC database of 2000+ climate tech companies in the EU, other accelerators and national representatives in 50 countries.

๐ป Engineering a Career for the Planet with Cindy Anderson
When: Thursday, March 13

โIn this session, Cindy will share her career journey from her time as a wildlife biologist studying seabirds (including penguins!) in polar environments, to doing logistics for Doctors Without Borders in the Congo, to launching the world's first online Masters degree in sustainable design, to her current role as sustainability consultant and educator for EOP. You'll learn about how to gather and build skills and competencies that can be transferred into climate jobs and careers.

๐ฆ "For the Birds" Concert
When: Friday, March 14
Where: Grace Episcopal Church, 8595 Northeast Day Road Bainbridge Island, WA 98110
For the Birds features a jazz quintet performing the original music of Seattle pianist and composer Nelda Swiggett. But this is not just a concert. The performance engages the power of artistic expression โ live music, spoken words, images and poetry โ to connect audiences deeply and emotionally to the scientific realities of climate change. Ultimately a story of hope, individuals leave the performance feeling empowered to take meaningful action.
