Seattle Climate Tech: Mar 19 - Mar 25
Townhalls, climate book clubs, women in sustainability panels, career workshops, and more events this week! Also, an exciting opportunity for early stage climate entrepreneurs in WA.
Hi friends,
We have 11 fantastic events coming up to round out March and over a dozen slated for April so far as we lead into Earth Month π, check them out below!
π£ Back this week with another great opportunity supporting climate entrepreneurship for BIPOC and other underserved communities. PNW-focused VertueLab just launched 45Camp, which is comprised of:
An immersive, three day in-person workshop (recap here),
A 10 week pre-accelerator focusing on technology innovation for early entrepreneurs (twenty $5K grant are available for this program), and
A 10 week accelerator diving deeper into business innovation for entrepreneurs with a product or concept (ten $25K grants are available for this program)
45 Camp aims to reduce traditional barriers of entry within climate tech for BIPOC, women, and other underserved communities while providing comprehensive yet approachable programming and coaching + mentorship opportunities. As Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Juan Barraza puts it, βMuch like a base camp at the foot of an immense mountain, the goal of 45Camp is to provide a safe, nurturing, and accessible starting point for entrepreneurship.β
The application deadline has been extended to Friday, March 29th β visit the website here for more details on the program and application.
As always, scroll down for the full list of upcoming events.
Cheers,
Maya, Alec, and the Climate Tech Cities Team
