π 21 Acres Farm Tour: Focus on Seeds
When: Saturday, March 29, 1:00pm-2:00pm
Where: 21 Acres Center, 13701 NE 171st Street Woodinville, WA 98072
Come learn all about seed starting with 21 Acres Farm Manager Ansley Roberts, who will share the ins and outs of seed selection, how to set yourself up for seed starting success, and how our seeding and planting practices at 21 Acres fit into our wider agroecological practices. You'll also get to apply your new knowledge with some hands-on experience in our greenhouse by planting a seed to take home.
π± Thornton Creek Riparian Forest Restoration with Dirt Corps
When: Saturday, March 29, 10:00am-1:00pm
Where: Kingfisher Natural Area, 2003 NE 100th Street, Seattle, WA 98125
Join Dirt Corps in learning about and caring for the riparian forest of Kingfisher Natural Area. We'll be exploring the history, restoration, hydrology, and ecology of this section of Thornton Creek. After this we'll be caring for the space by removing groundcover English ivy and other weeds, planting native potted plants, harvesting salmonberry to do live stake planting, and performing general upkeep to keep it a nice space for people to use. We hope to see you there!
