We have a great lineup of events this week starting with sustainability cocktails tonight, climate co-working tomorrow, a full set of events to choose from tomorrow evening (pitch competition, book talk, and the annual climate solutions celebration hosted by Governor Jay Inslee). On Friday, you can listen to conservation discussion from an expert in the field or attend a Central American dinner cruise. Kicking off next week, we have the Snohomish County update panel to discuss innovative businesses in the region, sustainability efforts, and more. Check out the list below for more details.

💻 Climate Co-working + Speed Networking
When: Thurs, May 23rd from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Where: Indigo Slate, Seattle
Co-working meets speed dating? Do tell! Join us at Indigo Slate's open 2nd floor studio space on Thursday, May 23rd from 12-4PM for an afternoon of collaboration and networking .
The speed networking portion will be something new we're trying: 5-minute conversations that we will 'round robin', so you can meet 10 different people in 60 minutes. We'll do 2 rounds of this so make sure to RSVP so we can coordinate your participation if you're up for it! Aside from that, we'll have a relaxed co-working environment with snacks and treats, including a complimentary coffee machine and beverage fridge to keep you fueled and refreshed while you work.
🌍 Young Transatlantic Innovation Leaders Pitch Competition
When: Thurs, May 23rd from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Where: Amazon, South Lake Union, Seattle
Join us at Amazon as we celebrate our European Fellows participating in the Young Transatlantic Leaders Initiative (YTILI), the U.S. Department of State's flagship program for emerging entrepreneurs from Europe, in the capstone of their professional exchange in Seattle: a pitch competition. Each of the Fellows, representing Azerbaijan, Finland, Netherlands, Poland, and Sweden, have spent the month in Seattle partnered with host organizations that align with their work in order to share their strengths, develop new skills, and build their perspective on Seattle's startup ecosystem.
For the pitch competition, the Fellows will competitively present their innovative business plans to a panel of local judges. Their companies work in clean tech, sustainability, the circular economy, waste reduction, and more! The winner will present to the full cohort at the YTILI Closing Summit in Washington DC.
📖 Book Talk - The Conservative Environmentalist

The UW Foster School of Business and the UW College of the Environment are delighted to host an engaging conversation between Sally Jewell, former U.S. Secretary of the Interior, and Benji Backer, author of "The Conservative Environmentalist" and distinguished UW alumnus. In his book, Backer argues that conservative principles can drive effective climate solutions. Traveling from Utah coal mines to Rhode Island wind farms, Backer's book discusses how entrepreneurship and local initiatives can conserve and safeguard our ecosystems. 💰Show Me The Money: National Survey on Non-Dilutive Financing for Climate Tech Startups
Navigating all of the different capital options to build your startup is incredibly hard and often frustrating. The Streetlife Ventures team is building a shared resource and set of education sessions for founders on non-dilutive capital options like grants and debt to further support this community. Are you a climate founder that has raised grants or debt (or even just been confused but wanted to utilize them)?
Please fill out this survey and contribute to what will be the most transparent and useful source of information on non-dilutive funding for early-stage climate companies. We’ll acknowledge all contributors, and also feature founders on panels and case studies for their leadership in this area. Thanks for your time!

We are expanding! We started as an 8-person dinner and now have over 4,000 members in our community.
