Funding Opportunity:🔋RFP for Impact Fund Decarbon8-US 2024
E8 is excited to share the Request for Proposal for their philanthropic impact fund Decarbon8-US 2024. Decarbon8-US is run by E8 in the summer months each year and is administered by their 501(c)(3) partner Realize Impact. This year’s theme is Renewable Energy with a focus on innovations in power generation, alternative fuels, and technologies that significantly advance the decarbonization of energy.
Companies working in renewable energy that have generated revenue or have field trials/pilots in place leading to revenue in 2024, from Pre-Seed to Series A, and will have an open investment round from September to November 2024, are welcome to apply. Applications for Decarbon8-US 2024 will be considered on a rolling basis, with applications closing on June 21.

🌲 Native Tree Tour
When: Wed, May 29th from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
Where: HUB Lawn, University of Washington, Seattle
In collaboration with a student group on Global Environmental Politics, Theodore Hoss will be taking those interested on a tour of native trees here on the UW campus. Want to make a difference in future forest policy? Interested in a relaxing evening in the outdoors learning about our local forests? This upcoming event will dive into the upcoming opportunities to submit public comments on a new amendment to the historic Northwest Forest Plan, the guiding document for over 19 million acres of National Forests in the western United States. In addition to sharing tips for lifting your voice during the amendment process, this event will also include a guided tour of northwest trees and explore how each of them holds a special place in our forests and ecosystems.

Get your hands dirty and learn about regenerative farming practices at 21 Acres! Work alongside knowledgeable 21 Acres staff on a variety of seasonal restoration and farm projects that build soil health and climate resilience. Your help supports local food systems by increasing farm productivity; building habitat for animals, birds, and insects; decreasing stormwater runoff; and storing carbon.

Help support the UW Farm and Student Dirty Dozen Farm Club on Saturday, June 1 by visiting our our annual Plant Sale. We hope this event will cover our seed costs for the year.
