Third Place Books welcomes Indigenous scholar, scientist, and author Jessica Hernandez to our Lake Forest Park store for a presentation of her new book, Growing Papaya Trees: Nurturing Indigenous Solutions for Climate Displacement. In this highly anticipated follow-up to her beloved book Fresh Banana Leaves, Dr. Hernandez discusses the colonial roots of climate change and the possibilities for a better future through meaningfully acting on Indigenous wisdom.
