Participating companies receive immersive training on manufacturing and access to an extensive network of mentors, experts, investors, manufacturers, suppliers, and more – all dedicated to supporting business growth and commercialization and making manufacturing easier. While you don’t have to be based in NYC to apply, applicants must share in the application how they have the potential to impact NY state (having customers in NY, having vendors in NY, etc.). The application deadline is November 30th, 2024.

Third Place Books is pleased to welcome Thomas Bancroft to our Lake Forest Park store for a presentation of his new book Beyond the Wonder: An Ecologist’s View of Wild Alaska, a beautiful meditation on nature-one that highlights the importance of untamed places and the role they play in crafting a better world. This event is free and open to the public.

This is a monthly virtual (via zoom) meetup for women who work in, or want to work in, climate.
We will use a Lean Coffee format, where we co-create the agenda real-time and get through the topics that are most interesting to the group. Each month we'll pick an industry learning theme and a jobs related theme to focus on.

Help and get to know our hyperlocal composting operation, Restaurant 2 Garden. We collect food scraps from restaurants in our neighborhood and process it into nutritious compost for gardeners at the Danny Woo Community Garden. With a few processing methods to create our compost, there will always be something to do, and we love sharing about how we do it!
