๐ซ Vote No on I-2117 ๐ซ
The initiative aims to repeal the 2021 Washington Climate Commitment Act (CCA), a state law that provided for a cap and invest program designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHGE) by 95% by 2050. I-2117 is a deceptive initiative that will strip billions in investment from community priorities in every county - like air quality, transportation and transit service, fish habitat, and preventing wildfires. I-2117 will shift the burden of paying for the impacts of pollution onto local communities and families.
Vote no on I-2117 today to protect our environment, vulnerable communities, and future generations of Washingtonians. Click on the links below for more details on the many threatening impacts of I-2117.
๐ I-2117 threatens vital protections for our waterways and fish habitats
๐ฒ I-2117 threatens the safe, reliable functioning of our transportation system
๐ซ I-2117 threatens air quality and increases pollution
๐ฒ I-2117 makes us more vulnerable to wildfires
๐ชถ I-2117 would hurt Tribal communities by ending a major source of funding for Tribal environmental leadership and action
