🏗️ 2nd Infraday Pacific Northwest

This gathering aspires to unite decision-makers, industry professionals, scholars, and concerned parties to examine the hurdles and prospects pertaining to infrastructure enhancement and modernization in the Pacific Northwest region. A key priority for infrastructure advancement in the Pacific Northwest has been to refine transport systems, stimulate green energy, and boost connectivity. This summit will offer keynote addresses, panel discussions, and engaging workshops centered around a plethora of topics, including transport, energy, water, and communication infrastructure.
🧠 Climate & Mental Health Nexus

Where: Intellectual House, University of Washington
Join the University of Washington’s EarthLab, the UW Environment and Well-Being Lab, and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Centre on Well-being, Inclusion, Sustainability and Equal Opportunity (WISE) in a half-day public symposium on the intersection of climate change and mental health. The event will uncover the complex pathways linking climate change to worsening mental health outcomes, including new forms of distress. It will also showcase the restorative and protective aspects of nature, and the ways in which climate action can be leveraged to promote positive mental health outcomes.
🤝 Bellevue City Council - 2023 Candidates Climate Forum

It's time to gather for WPPA's Environmental Seminar! As you know, this event provides participants with a relaxed venue to learn about environmental issues, share experiences, and reconnect with friends in the port community. In addition to presentations by experts, this year's agenda is full of the peer-to-peer interactions that have time and again proven so valuable.
💧 Putting the ‘Action’ in the Ocean Climate Action Plan

Washington Maritime Blue and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory invite you to participate in a regional workshop to develop a collaborative research strategy supporting the Biden Administration’s new Ocean Climate Action Plan (OCAP) on Wednesday, September 20th. The event will bring the breadth of the ocean/climate/blue economy communities together and convene researchers, policy makers, federal and state government, industry, community-based organizations, and nonprofits to discuss key research needs and partnership opportunities.
☀️ Stand up for solar coalition kick off

Washington needs Solar policies that serve everyone, but the future of those polices are uncertain. That’s why we are building a broad coalition of supporters to pass legislation for a statewide community solar program and to expand net metering. On September 21st the Washington State House of Representatives Energy & Environment is having a working group session on Solar energy policies. An hour before the work session begins we will be formally launching our campaign to expand community Solar and net metering! At the campaign launch and press conference we'll hear from coalition leaders, residents of low income Solar projects, and those who faced barriers to Solar. Join us at the legislature to expand community solar & net metering, because solar energy belongs to everyone!

🧵 Sewing III - Zero Waste

From making our own cloth to cutting out patterns in a more sustainable way, we will learn how to shift our creative thinking in a whole new direction. This class is for sewers who feel confident on the sewing machine and are ready to step their patterning and creative minds up a level. There are MANY ways to be zero waste, and in this class series we will discuss creating our own textile and garment from scrap fabric, remnant pieces, and make a piece that fits our own magical body too.

We are expanding! We started as an 8-person dinner and now have over 4,000 members in our community. We’ve had people across the world reach out to us to start their own chapters - so we’re launching a new Climate Tech Cities organization this year!
